WILLS:

Only if instructions and a notarial certificate are provided.  (Contact an attorney before presenting a Will for Notarization.)

 

PHOTOGRAPHS:

Only a signature on a written statement referring to an accompanying or attached photograph may be notarized. News Mexico statutes prohibit Notaries from certifying a photograph.

 

A PERSON WITH NO IDENTIFICATION:

If a signer has no identification documents and is not known to the Notary, that person must bring one witness known to the Notary, and have acceptable identification, and must personally know the signer, OR bring two witnesses who are strangers to the Notary but are both personally known to the signer, and have acceptable identification.

 

LANGUAGE:

A Notary must be able to directly communicate with the signer, without an interpreter, and the notarial certificate and document signature must be in a language that the Notary can read.  If this is not the case, the signer must seek out a Notary speaking and reading his or her language.
